Description:

On September 20, 2017, the Jonesville City Council named the former Jonesville Rail Trail, the Jerry Russell Trail in honor of long-time Department of Public Works (DPW) Superintendent Claude “Jerry” Russell.

Jerry had a desire for hunting, kayaking, fishing and appreciated the outdoors.  His pride for the Jonesville community showed in his work at the Village of Jonesville.  It is because of his contributions and love for this community that this trail be dedicated in his honor.

The City of Jonesville invites you to the dedication ceremony on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm.  The ceremony will take place at the trail head, located next to the Jonesville Police Department (116 W Chicago Street).  In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place at the Jonesville Police Department.

This event is open to the public.  If you should need any additional information about the event, please contact the City Hall at 517.849.2104.
